I am leaving tomorrow night!
I got my visa on Wednesday, thank you so much to everyone who was praying. Everything is set set and ready for me to leave tomorrow. I am incredibly excited and cannot wait to see how the summer unfolds!
Please pray specifically for my travels there. It will take three days and five planes to get there, and things generally don't run as much on time in Africa as in the U.S. I was going to fly there with a missionsary from Canada, but so far his visa has not gone through. So please pray for protection, and that the Lord will provide people to help guide me. And that I will be able to make all the connections I need to and travel safely through customs. God is in control, and I am trusting in His almighty provision. Our God is a mighty God!
I love Romans 8:31-32 "If God is for us who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?"
Lord willing, I will write next from Africa!
Safe travels! My mom sent me this link. What an exciting adventure you have in front of you! I'll be praying for your time, that it will be filled with joy in the Lord. Something that was said to me before I left for Jordan, which the Lord has spoken to me many, many times this year is this: Christ is above you and below you, in front of you and behind you, in you, through you, around you. You can not go where HE is not.
ReplyDeleteLove you! Can't wait to hear stories when we're both back home.
Anneliese is safely in Uganda, awaiting her Missionary Aviation Flight to Congo. Unfortunately, her luggage is not. We are thankful for safe travel and helpful, friendly companions. She is excited to finish the final legs of her trip and arrive in Congo!
ReplyDeleteAnneliese has arrived in Isiro, DRC - she was greeted at the airport by a pickup truck filled with a welcome committee of 11! Her luggage is intact, and her first words to me were "it's wonderful here!". We rejoice with her!
